A Case Report of Salmonella Meningitis in Infancy

Abstract
We present a fatal case of salmonella meningitis in 4 months old male infant with the chief complaints of fever, irritability and convulsion.
The diagnosis is finally confirmed by the bacterial culture of cerebrospinal fluid.
Salmonella meningitis has been considered a rare form of meningitis, but the disease is common occurrence enough to warrant consideration whenever physicians are confronted with a purulent meningitis.
